Our Cocktails

The recipes taught in our unique cocktail making parties are all crowd favourites. We’ve designed the package to perfectly cater for those bridesmaids looking for classy hens night party ideas so every cocktail making night includes the espresso martini, cosmo, and classic daiquiri, with other additions depending on the package.

Espresso Martini

Definitely the first cocktail I always pick up on a night out, this drink combines my two favourite liquids into one: alcohol and coffee. Created in London in the 80s this drink has definitely become a fan favourite, presumedly because of how delicious it is! After the party you’ll wonder how you ever survived not knowing how to make and shake one up.

If there’s one thing Carrie Bradshaw taught us, it’s the importance of the cosmo. The perfect low cal vodka drink, cosmos are a top cocktail. Here at Hens Party Adelaide we love ourselves a sweet liquor drink and the cosmopolitan ticks all of our boxes. Fruity with hints of citrus, its suits  all seasons and is a favourite all over the world. Read more about the history of this iconic cocktail here.

Classic Daiquiri

Drop what you’re doing and book a party. With summer just around the corner you NEED to know how to make yourself a classic daiquiri. This delicious rum based cocktail is so refreshing and will immediately cool you down after a long day at work (or hopefully a long day at the beach). Our mixologists will give you the secret to making the best cocktail. Small hint: it’s all about getting the right balance of sweet and sour.

Mojito’s are one of my favourite cocktails, and really, how could it not be? Fizzy with a hint of lime and mint, every sip has me feeling like I’m holidaying in Cuba. Another great summer drink this cocktail perfectly complements a day by the pool. You’ll never need to use a pre-bought mojito mix again!

A shooter is made of mixed liquor and intended to shot. If you’re ready to have a big night on the town this is exactly what you need! Shooters are very hard to create on your own due to the ambiguity of the ingredients and the uniqueness of the bartender making them. Book a party with us and we’ll give you all the inside knowledge!

Cocktail Themed Hen Party Decoration Ideas

Booking with us is so simple, we provide everything you’ll need to make, shake and drink the best cocktails out there. You may want to add your own personal touches however, which is where decorations and accessories come in. Here are some of our best cocktail themed hens party decoration ideas.

Name Drink Stirrers

Now let’s be real ladies, at a party, if you place your drink down, there is only a 50/50 chance you’ll ever pick it back up. So many times have I lifted a drink off the table, which I could SWEAR was the exact one I had placed there seconds earlier, only to hear “I think that’s mine!” seconds before it touches my lips. That’s where these beautiful cocktail stirrers come in. Get one customised for the bride and each of the guest and avoid the previously unavoidable germ sharing. Have a look here for a range of different options.

Personalised Glass Decor

Party planning can be fun! Especially with these personalised hens party decoration stickers. You can order them and get the bride tribe together to DIY these beautiful glasses for the bride-to-be and all her guests. Affordable, easy, and more importantly, enjoyable, these stickers are a great way to distinguish your hens party and make it unique to your hen.

Hens Party Straws

Believe it or not there is a large market for hens party straws. Now like you, we love our turtles, so all our favourite straws are of course made out of paper. Our top three includes these divine white and gold wedding ring straws, these “team bride” metallic rose gold ones, and for something a bit more comical, these ‘same penis forever’ silly straws.

Why a Cocktail Making Hens Night?

Cocktail’s are fun, and guess what? So is making them! Learning the process and techniques to create your own unique versions of classic drinks will start the party (and marriage) off right. Everyone will have a ball (we promise).

Advanced Cocktail Recipes

Once you’ve attended one of our cocktail making hens parties, you’ll be well equiped with the skills to go on and experiment with your abilities. We’ve listed a few recipes below you can start with but really, be creative! Cocktails are fun and so is making them.

Gin Drinks

Pink Gin Spritz

This recipe couldn’t be easier (or more delicious).

  • Gordons Pink Gin
  • Prosecco spritz
  • Lime
  • Strawberries

Add all the ingredients together with some ice and garnish with the lime and strawberries! Voila!

Elderflower Cocktail (Gimlet)

  • Gin
  • Elderflower liqueur
  • Lime juice
  • Peel cucumber

Combine all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with some ice and give that baby a good shake! Garnish with a little slice of the cucumber.

Vodka Drinks

The next cocktail recipe is vodka based, because ladies lets be honest we know the Russians got it right with alcohol.

Vodka Lime Soda

One, if not the, most classic vodka cocktail, and for good reason. Refreshing, light, and fun this drink is perfect for a hens party.

Ingredients (you’ll never guess them)

  • Vodka
  • Lime (juice and wedges)
  • Soda

Put the lime and vodka into a small glass with ice. Pour the soda over the top and garnish with lime. Want to delve into the complexities and tricks of the cocktail a bit more (and no we’re not kidding), Bon Appetit talks you through the Vodka Lime and Soda in this short and charming video here.
