Before launching my business in 2013, I worked in early childhood education, starting as a student and progressing to Assistant Director/Acting Director. During that time, I developed a deep love for makeup, spending countless hours perfecting my own look. Wanting a creative outlet alongside my career, I pursued my passion by enrolling in Media Makeup, where I earned my Certificate II in Makeup in 2010. A few years later, I officially started MY.LK Makeup, a name I created with the help of my cousin, and began freelancing. Although I found my full-time job rewarding, I knew my true calling was in the beauty industry. This realisation led me to expand my skills by obtaining certifications in lash extensions and facial treatments.

In recent years, I took a big leap, leaving my full-time role to set up my own home studio. What I love most about working in beauty is seeing my clients achieve their beauty goals and feel their absolute best. There’s nothing more fulfilling than delivering a service that exceeds expectations and brings confidence to those I work with.
